SSB4: Mewtwo DLC Release date + Lucas DLC announcement + Mii Costume Waves + New Waves of Amiibo!

So, here is my first PROPER blog post.

If any of you don't know, I am a massive fan of the Super Smash Bros. series. I am waiting for the PAL release of Project M, I've got the CD, but there is one thing that I'm most exited for... Super Smash Bros. DLC.

If you do not know what DLC is, basically it stands for Downloadable Content, which adds on great stuff to video games.

Mewtwo is a Pokemon from Pokemon Red Version and Pokemon Blue Version. His first appearance in a Smash Bros game was in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube. He was a fan favourite and was going to be in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii, but got cut due to time restraints, then again, the game got delayed a lot there was no excuse. Back then, there wasn't the beautiful concept of DLC, only limited online capabilities. So Mewtwo wasn't playable in Brawl, but... the year was 2012, Masahiro Sakurai, the game's director, was interviewed, a question was asked about Mewtwo in the game, Sakurai said something about considering him being playable, even though back then, every character was already planned, yes, even Greninja and the Fire Emblem: Awakening characters. When the game released, no Mewtwo, but Dr Mario, for some reason. But,  23rd October, 2014, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 50 Fact Extravaganza (or Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 50 Must-See Things in PAL territories) aired as a special Nintendo Direct with a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U theme. It was voiced by the game's announcer, Xander Mobus. It was announced that the game was getting character DLC in spring, and it would be for free if you register a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, you will get it AND a soundtrack CD collection containing two CDs, for free, yea, you read me right, free DLC and two free CDs. I obviously registered both copies and I have my CDs. And you guessed that the character DLC is Mewtwo. In a recent Nintendo direct (1st April 2015), It was announced that Mewtwo DLC codes will be received on 15th April and will be released as paid DLC on 28th April.

Lucas is a character from the Japan-only title Mother 3. His first appearance in a Smash Bros game was Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. He was also a fan favourite, but unlike Mewtwo, he was cut entirely, no traces of Lucas data and his stand alone B move was taken by Ness. In the recent Nintendo Direct, there was a Lucas DLC reveal, aiming for a June 2015 release.

There was more info on Yoshi's Woolly World and Splatoon, two games that I can't wait for, and a puzzle game called BOXBOY! There was also stuff about Mario Maker, a Super Mario level designer. There is also an online Ballot for voting for the next Super Smash Bros. DLC character.

That's all I've got for now,
See you in my next post.
